The one who wouldn’t quit

Hey Friend,
I know you get it—life with teenagers in sports is full. 😊
Our daughter Aubrey was all about swim. She loved her team, loved the meets… and we were so proud of her.
Every year, her coach chose her to swim the 500 yard freestyle—the longest race they had.
Not because she was the fastest…
…but because she was the one who wouldn’t quit.
Twenty laps is where a lot of kids give up.
Aubrey never did.
That determination took her all the way to districts and regionals every year she swam.
But there was one thing that kept getting in the way.
Her sunscreen.
No matter what we tried—“clean,” not clean, expensive, simple—
everything made her break out.
Her skin was constantly irritated, and the chlorine only made it worse.
And if you’ve ever dealt with that, you know…
it’s not just about skin.
It’s confidence.
It’s comfort.
It’s not wanting to second guess what you’re putting on your body.
One of my customers said it so well:
“I want to work with my body, not against it.”
That’s exactly how this felt.
So I decided—if Aubrey could be that determined, so could I.
I knew my tallow balm worked for her skin. No breakouts. No irritation.
So I set out to make a sunscreen that did the same thing.
Something that was:
truly clean (not just labeled that way)
made with ingredients I trust
and actually helped her skin, not fought against it
After a lot of trial and error, I finally landed on it:
A tallow-based mineral sunscreen made with non-nano zinc oxide and our grass-fed tallow.
The first day she wore it to practice, she came home glowing.
“Mom… all the other girls got sunburned today. I didn’t.”
“Look at my face—it’s not breaking out!”
“And the chlorine usually dries my skin out SO bad, but it still feels soft.”
“I LOVE it.”
That was it for me.
That confidence. That relief. That joy.
That’s why I kept going.
Because at the end of the day, we all just want something we don’t have to question—
something we can trust is doing what it’s supposed to do.
I’ll have this sunscreen (and a few other favorites) at our secret Sip & Shop next week 💛
I’m so grateful I got to make something my daughter needed.
And now I get to share it with you.
If you’ve ever struggled to find something that actually works with your skin…
I’d love for you to come try it.
Can’t wait to see you there.
From my heart to yours,
Brianne
