About the event

This all-day workshop begins with discussing & demonstrating humane kill methods, then proceeds to skinning and halving a pig with almost zero waste.

The next step is hands on experience turning a chilled half pig into the cuts we recognize and are familiar with, including ham, bacon, pork chops, short ribs, and shoulder cuts.

We'll share our favorite recipes for curing bacon and ham, seasoning ground sausage, and rendering lard with you, and you'll leave knowing you never need to pay a butcher again.
