About the event
The chicken processing workshops involve taking about 20 meat chickens, usually a combination of freedom rangers and Cornish cross, and giving details on breed selection, hatch to harvest care and feeding, then discussing the butchering process before we begin butchering. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you wish! At the end of the workshop (usually 3-4 hours) you’ll go home with 2 of the chickens we’ve processed, and a booklet with all the info we cover during the class!
